One of our most asked questions after customers get their windows or glass doors installed is, “How do I clean them as good as you guys do?”. Our crew, at Xtreme Home Products, located in Mooresville, NC, take pride in all of our workmanship. We want to make sure our customers are getting the best of the best, even down to the clean vinyl replacement windows and doors when leaving. So, here are some cleaning tips on making sure your replacement vinyl windows and replacement glass doors are staying as beautiful as they are when they are installed.
Gather Your Supplies: While there aren’t a lot of supplies you need for this cleaning task, you want to make sure you have the right things so you aren’t damaging your windows or glass doors. Our team uses microfiber towels as we feel that cleans the best and sprayway foaming glass cleaner. Some people prefer to use a squeegee instead of the cloths and that works too but make sure you are using the squeegee correctly so you are not scratching the glass.
Spray Your Glass: While using the Sprayway Foaming Glass Cleaner, make sure you are following the directions on the can. For tougher, stained glass, let the Sprayway sit on the glass for about 15 to 20 seconds before wiping away.
Cleaning: After spraying Sprayway on your windows, make sure to work top to bottom. This helps eliminate any streaks you may have from cleaning your windows. If you are using a squeegee, it is best to work side to side. Also make sure after cleaning each section with your squeegee, that you are wiping the rubber with a microfiber towel.
Remember to check the weather before starting this task so all of your hard work isn’t for nothing. If you follow these 3 easy steps, you will have beautiful clean replacement windows and doors again!
