Prepare Your Home for Hurricane Ian

Our crew at Xtreme Home Products, located in Mooresville, NC, wants to make sure you are prepared for bad weather approaching. Here are some simple tasks to make sure you and your family stay safe during the storms approaching this weekend.

  • Clear your yard- Make sure all things that can be blown around during the storm is strapped down. This helps protect your home and your neighbors homes from flying objects. This can include but is not limited to bikes, lawn furniture, grills, children's toys, and propane tanks.

  • Gather Supplies- Collect items for your "survival kit". This would mean gathering flash lights, extra batteries, hygiene supplies, water, non-perishable food, cell phones and chargers. If you have have young children make sure you have diapers, wipes, and bottles/formula.

  • Fill tubs and sinks- If you are nervous about losing power and not having water, you can always fill your tubs and sinks with water. This will make it so you have clean water for cleaning and drinking.

We hope everyone stays safe during the weather that is approaching the Carolina's.
